Due to COVID-19, for the health and safety of our patients and staff, please note our new office protocol.

1. Masks must be worn by all entering the building age 2 and over.

2. If a mask is not worn we will ask you to leave the building and call to reschedule.

About Us

For over thirty years, Suburban Pediatrics has provided expert care to babies on through to adolescence. We offer two convenient locations in Williamsville and Alden, regular wellness checks, weekend sick and well visits and 24 hour phone coverage to ensure the health of your child. Our board-certified pediatricians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, adhere to the guidelines and recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices (ACIP) to partner with you to raise healthy and happy children.

Suburban Pediatrics FAQs

Does my child need an annual well visit even though they had a school physical?

Please remember that the physical performed in a school setting should NOT be a substitute for your annual physical with your child’s pediatrician. Important information such as discussions on growth & development, social or high-risk issues, immunizations, etc. are not performed during the school physical. In addition, we do not receive a copy of your school performed physical, therefore, we are unable to track your child’s progress and/or address any issues or concerns.
How do I cancel an appointment?
What if I am going to be late for my appointment?

We request that you plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment so that your child is in the room and ready for the provider for the scheduled appointment time. Please contact our office if you are going to be late or cannot keep your appointment. Our office staff will assist you with rescheduling if necessary.
My child has always been seen at the Alden office, what if my child needs an appointment in the evening or weekend for a visit?
Are Lactation services available at the Alden location?
Does my child’s provider work exclusively at the Alden location?
When will my medication refill request be processed?

Medication refills are managed Monday through Friday, from 8:00 – 5:00 pm. Refills requested after 3:00 pm will be handled on the next business day. Prescriptions for controlled substances require a 72-hour notification and will be sent to the primary pharmacy on file unless otherwise specified.
Why is it important that one of the physicians from Suburban Pediatrics be listed as my primary care physician (PCP)?
What should I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?

After hours and weekends, our providers alternate being “on-call.” One of our providers from Suburban Pediatrics will be available 24 hours a day. Call our regular number at 716-565-9030 first and you will be given instruction on how to reach us after hours. Keeping your telephone line open and removing any telephone blocks will facilitate our reaching you promptly.
